What is it about love
so inescapable
entirely indescribable
a profoundly joyous sensation
newfound eyes that seek the heavens
thriving in golden mists
blissfully floating upon clouds of delight
an ethereal glow
a list of perfect moments
seemingly endless
celestial conversations
visions of delicious chaos
could I ask for any more?
a man who inspires
two souls whistling the same tune
wounds healed from a turbulent past
a sudden moment of fear
panic as the doors to my heart
begin to re-open
slowly, too quickly
walk in to my life why don’t you
making room for another
myself on a platter presented
defences trying to strengthen
vulnerability
a feeling forgotten
can I do this again?
as quickly fleeing as it arrived
strength in myself personified
welcome home love
in my heart you will once again reside
beautifully content
impossible wonder
