The Broken Heart
March 19th 2008 04:58
Folks,
Basking on the Islands of Fiji have made it a little difficult to put up any posts (No sympathy here is expected) - the best I can muster in my dreamy state is a short poem I wrote years ago…will be back on the sunny banks of Melbourne next Thursday so until then…Bula!
The Broken Heart…
The heart aches
For the one who kissed it last
Yearning it languishes
For the one who caressed it dear
Where did you leave?
It forever asks
Searching, craving wanting him here
Dancing as a flame amid a blazing inferno
Likened to the heart that burns for only one
In tune with the song of fiery needing
For only him, for only this one
Seeking to drink from the pond of desire
Droplets fall from the heart like tears
Rippling upon its waters, echoing
Of a dream that once was
Now a memory, realised in fear
Between the hills of two souls
The heart wants itself to be free
Of the prison of its own mind
So a new horizon it can once again see
And all of a sudden
As the sun and moon together they play
Awakens the start of a brand new day
A smile tickles the heart’s weeping side
A gentle reminder all will be fine…

But that is also why I say, never get too emotionally involve with anybody. This way, you don't have to worry too much about heart breaks.

I did think that at first, but you know what, I just can never hold back when it comes to love- it's too wonderful. Heartbreak comes along with it and it's hard but then- after a while all I remember are those precious moments when it was good and that makes it worthwhile!
