Does Love at First Sight only Make a Fool Happy???

Love at first sight…love at third conversation…love at second meeting- is this just a product of desire or a moment of vulnerability? Or can love actually blossom from the moment two souls meet?
Could it be that sometimes, when you least expect it, someone can come along and sweep you away so suddenly that you find yourself knocked over sideways and can’t quite regain your balance?
You realise you are suddenly making the decision to trust them completely with your heart, your fears, your needs and your love when the two of you have only just met. Can this actually be real?
I could side with cynicism and question how much of it is just the rush of adrenaline of meeting someone whom you click with instantly rather than it being “love at first sight”.
But then I wonder whether these doubts of immediate love are a reflection of the fear of accepting the unknown. Of venturing into a world where you have given the key that unlocks yourself to a virtual stranger. Of trusting that no matter which destination this mad adventure takes you, you will let yourself go and enjoy it fully with the assurance that you will be alright. And this can be frightening especially when you’ve been hurt before.
Or perhaps then it comes down to timing- when you are truly ready for love again, and you have healed from your past, your heart simply wants to open up completely to the one it feels it belongs to. A burden that was once a fear of being hurt suddenly lifts, allowing love to take sole residence within your healed soul.
When the right person then appears, it all just fits and you know that this love, which has arrived so quickly and unexpectedly, is in fact, real.
Could it possibly be okay to accept that to live a life of love is to at times believe that it can actually be uncomplicated?
Perhaps it’s time we lay rest the drama we subconsciously crave and go with the flow and be confident in our ability to handle all that comes our way.
It's does make a deliciously exciting thought- that love at first sight, at third conversation or at second meeting, is indeed very real.
